Red & Whiteby duncesComment: So simple yet so elegant! Overall this is a very good shot. I'm no expert but it seems that the lightening is not quite correct. I'm not sure why but the shadows seems off? Maybe focus? Oh well, maybe it is me. I do like the shot though. Good job. |

Summer Hostaby MarjoComment: Very pretty shot with a color (white) that is difficult to get clear and sharp. For me it only needed something in addition to the flower itself to stand out from the crowd. If it was for a seed package ad or the like it would be a 10 in my book. Good job. |

Fire in Augustby newtune3Comment: One of my top two and a 10 in my book. It stands out in this competition as very different subject and composition. A great change from the standard flower shots. I can't explain the whys but this shot just draws my interest. I kept going back to it. Great job! |

A rose with two-lipsby parrotheadComment: One of my top two picks. Although it is stretched a little for the Botany challenge (sex sells I guess) I still give it a 10 for the composition, color and clarity. This shot would make an excellent ad for the rose industry at Valentines Day. Great shot overall! |

Fields of gold by marboComment: This is one of my two favorites. The golden color and blue sky just set off the field rows. Wish I could have found a climbing hill for mine as it adds depth. Good job. |
