Beast of the Marshby Canadian_ehComment: Good subject. Nice composition. Focus is good. I'm thinking that maybe some levels tweaking in editing, perhaps dropping the darks and mids, could help make the photo really 'pop'. |

Bumpy and Smoothby kyeboshComment: I like your choice here. Good texture. I like your idea of the contrasting smooth and bumpy :-) I also really like the colors in the image. The red , blue and green work together well IMO. Focus on the eyes, good, nice dof. Great job. |

barrelby arlanbartComment: This is a cool concept. I like the overall effect. I think the presentation could be a lot stronger if the framing did not cut off the reflection of the barrel. |

Oldtimerby nickstyleComment: Hey, nice shot man. The reflections are very cool. I've checked out some of your stuff, you have a great eye. This composition is very nice. Cool pic, especially considering the camera you've got (I know it well, the same one I have :-) ) And a personal best too ! Great job. Message edited by author 2005-07-08 02:53:46. |

Leading Lines to Power Your Homeby banditComment: Good concept. Fits the challenge IMO. Nice sunset. I like how the vanishing point of the towers goes into the heart of the sunset. Maybe it's just me, but I'm thinking this photo could be a little stronger with a slightly different framing/cropping. The top part to me seems a little weak. What I see is these nice lines from the wires, but then the way the 2 main wires go out one at the top and one appears in this perspective to go out the side. Also, I get a slightly unbalanced feel between the black at the bottom, the lovely golds in the middle, and then a lot of blue/gray at the top. I'm thinking that maybe cropping it to just a little above the top of the tower, that it would provide a little 'symmetry' , where there would be a little bit of black at bottom, lots of gold in the middle highlighting the main subject, then a little bit of blue/gray. Also giving a more flowing, continual feel to the lines of the wires. Just my opinion :-) |
