Humorous Birthdayby JutildaComment: A very gritty interesting look tonally. I think I see what you're trying to convey, but it just doesn't say humor or birthday to me. The image actually feels a bit disturbing, which isn't necesarily a bad thing at all, I like a photo that stirs an emotional response, positive or negative, but, IMO, I just can't see this as a greeting card at all. |

Friendshipby CalliopeKelComment: Great shot! Focus and dof are super. Very interesting editing. I think if the hair had not been added in the selective desat, the shot wouldn't work nearly as well (meaning if just the clothing were left in color) And I could definitely see this as a card. Awesome job, I really like it :-) |

Thank Youby owenComment: Wowsers, seems like it's a little strong in the saturation department? |

Thinking of Youby jbsmithanaComment: This photo really grabs my attention. Very strong compositionally. Awesome dof. Great detail. I really like the tones. Interesting how even though the colors are close, the bird really stands out. (part of the awesome dof, huh?) Great job. |

loveby parrotheadComment: This is a really cool idea. I really like the concept. The selective desat in this case I feel serves a purpose. In all honesty though, the nostrils showing are a bit un appealing, and they seem to take attention away from the lips. |

Missing Youby JudiComment: Nice tones. I really like the concept of the shot. I'm not a stickler for having to use the rule of thirds, but, IMO, in this case I think moving the subject out of the center, towards the right of the frame, could strengthen the shot. |
