No Lifeby EaThisComment: Interesting shot. I think I see the idea here and how it meets the challenge, however I can understand how some could miss it. The composition is good, a fine use of repetitive patterns. It seems like your focus could be a bit sharper. That and some levels tweaking could strengthen the presentation here IMO. I think some brightened lights and deeper darks could increase the overall tonal range and maybe bring out more detail and engage the viewer stronger. |

City Lifeby KRAZY2101Comment: Fits the challenge. I do see city life here. The shot seems kind of busy though, which could work, but I find my eye not finding something solid to hold my attention and draw me in. Seems like focus could be sharper here, it is hard to tell with the small size. I'm sure you are getting lots of comments about the size :-) It really makes a big difference, larger shows off so much more detail. There is a great tutorial in the 'Learn' section here on the site about sizing and entering photos for challenges. I would say you've got a good eye for subject, just need to work on some technicals and composition. |

Happy Ridersby vtruanComment: This is a 'feel good' kind of image. Gives me a nice smile and feeling. Compositionally strong and good focus. The blown out sky is a little distracting, and a little levels tweaking could make the shot a little stronger, but overall not bad. Good job. |

Dear Momby shankswareComment: Very emotive image. Colorful, bordering on being busy, but presented well. Great use of dof. I am drawn into the image, wondering what it is that will be said in the letter. Very nice. And that is wonderful writing. Was that really hand written??? :-) Good overall, I'm not crazy about the transparent border, in this case it seems to be a bit distracting. Maybe a small solid border could work? Nice job. |

Twisted Motherby permapierComment: Very interesting take on the challenge. Slightly disturbing, but in a good, thought provoking, scary, twisted art sort of way, if you know what I mean. The composition is sound, I think the rose adds a nice, interesting touch. Seems like the shot could be a bit sharper, maybe some usm would help. Also, for my taste, I'm thinking that a little tweaking in levels, making a little brighter, and deeper darks, might give some strengthened depth and tonal range. |

Dualityby LeeDComment: Very cool. Probably not catering to the taste of a lot of people, but I quite like it. Nice job. |

Pondering the Mysteries of the Remoteby drydocComment: I like this shot. A good composition. I like how the woman is cropped along the edge. Focus and color management look pretty good. Some might say that the background is bordering on being busy, but I think it adds context to the image, and the dof helps and keeps the subject isolated. I can definitely relate, I've seem my own mom struggling with 'current' technology all the time :-) Nice job. |
