Oil by Waterby xyphotoComment: The small size of this photo looks like it really does not do it justice. I think it would benefit greatly from using the full 640 pix size allowed. There is a great tutorial in the learn section here on sizing photos for challenges. I'm sure the size here is hindering your score pretty strongly. |

Twistedby hannekeComment: A refreshingly disturbing image! Totally 'in your face' composition (literally, hehe). Very crisp, and I really like the lighting you've used, really adds to the shot. Great job, very cool! |

My Pot of Goldby brens29Comment: Wowsers. Very cool. That is amazing, I have never ever seen the end of a rainbow. Didn't even know it was really possible. Cool shot! Definitely very unique. :-) |

The story of a hundred yearsby EnnilComment: WOWSERS! I am speechless...totally stunned. When this loaded, it literally threw me back in my chair (seriously). After looking for a while, I got my wife and made her check it out :-) I could go on and on about what I like about this one, I mean on and on. The title here is not needed, but yet it compliments the image without being pretentious. Composition, focus, lighting, everything just superb. I'm sure I will revisit this amazing photo many times. I go now to mark the favorites box and score a 10, thank-you. |

Confidenceby jpochardComment: I think I remember this shot :-) Nice one. Great model, very fitting title. I definitely see 'confidence' in her eyes, appearance, and stance. Good processing and composition. I like how the bricks in the background are slanted, adds good dynamics to the image. Great job! |

Tower of Sand Ballsby dnallyComment: Very interesting subject. Might make for a stronger photo if you got in tight, and made the shot more about the sand balls. Attention is drawn away by all the swimmers and the water. The blue object on the left edge of frame seems to be a bit distracting. The sky is nice and dramatic, with great color. The island thingies in the distance are nice and interesting, neat how the sand pile is centered between them. The point of view here is kind of mundane though, seen from where anyone could just stand and look at the scene, often times when a photo shows an un-ordinary angle or view, something one wouldn't normally see, it can add a lot of interest to a photo. I'm thinking maybe if this were a vertical 'portrait' crop, shot from a lower point of view, keeping the tower centered and leading towards the islands, and still showing that great sky, it could be a much stronger presentation. I know that doesn't help much with this shot, (although you could still try a vertical crop if it sounds like an idea with potential to you), but maybe something to keep in mind in the future :-) |
