Beloved Friend IIby sherComment: Not only is the composition well done, the feel and PP here gives such a strong sense of a bygone era and appears as a real vintage photograph.
Nice! |

Bannedby BradComment: This was one of my hate it or love it attempts at a more creative look and was pleasantly surprised at the 3-D feel to it.
Never figured it to do fairly well though.
Thanks all. |

Trinityby sherComment: Yup - one of my favorites in regards to composition, tone and feel.

Sniperby scalvertComment: Too funny.
Detail's not bad either - can see where my thumbnail is discolored (still is) from whacking it a while back.
Hehehehe - that thing gets such odd looks - and so does the camera setup !
(didn't think I was leaving the door open for the likes of you did ya?)

Freedomby megryanComment: Hi Lisa,
I'm not going to hide from anyone by a PM and wanted to apologize for the comment I made during the challenge: "Where's the bridge?"
I have no idea why I said that, as I clearly understood the shot. I was in a pissy mood around that time and also noticed I did not vote on it either. I quit voting on the challenge when I saw my score climbing and didn't want to have a biased opinion in the voting process.
For what it's worth, I would have given this a 7, and probably wouldn't have gone any higher due to the highlights being blown out.
Oh and may go back and unselect the "helpul" check box - it wasn't! LOL

Trail of Tears by BradComment: Originally posted by phreakon: Brad, its time to quit your day job! Buy that camera you really want, and go for it. I hope you distribute your photography, or at least show your work in galleries. I'm new to this whole digital photography thing, but my girlfriend is a highly recognized and accomplished photographer in Philly. I regularly go to the art galleries, and I see the work that people are doing in a city that is well regarded for being cultured and artistically educated. Your work blows them all away. Seriously, by leaps and bounds. I mean it in a factual way, and not just as my opinion. Excellent photo, and congratulations on another ribbon! |
Mike,
This is perhaps the highest compliment I have ever received, and thank you from the bottom of my heart. As of now, I have not displayed anything anywhere and only share my images here and at another site. It's on my list of things to do when I get serious about this hobby.
Again, Thank You.
Your kind words mean more than any ribbon ever did. |
