Cape White-Eyeby wsteynComment: Good capture and stance here.
The background seems a bit high on the contrast side and would probably benefit from lightening & softening the background. |

Tiger Swallowtailby TlemetryComment: Well bravo - you resisted following all the rule of thirds and let the background supplement and guide the composition. Glad you resisted bumping the saturation level up too. |

Flybyby owenComment: Good timing on the shot.
The horizon is off by about 0.0004 degrees - just kidding!!!
The overall impact here seems a bit too saturated & harsh for my preferences. |

Grumpyby glad2badadComment: Love the point of view here.
A little brighter in the background around his head would really strengthen the main focal point of his/her head by separating the tones & levels a bit more. |

Earl in Dreamlandby deanaComment: Though I understand teh story and meaning here, the inverted colors don't really work well for me on this.
I've seen a number of long tree lines inverted to make them look infra-red, and does take a bit of adjustment before the inversion. |

Fallby Arti-ElviComment: Very unusual composition and post-processing technique.
Really makes the eyes pop off the page. Straight out of the camera - right? ;) |

The Guardianby rasdubComment: Great composition and point of view.
This was a good choice to convert to a silver appearing black & white. |

Money chasmby OdieComment: Love the deep blue gradient in the water.
I did a quick adjustment in Photoshop on it by using the shadow/highlight tool, leaving it at default, then dropping the levels overall, then using the history brush, brought the sky back 50%. I would love to see what could be done with the original! |

Heart of the Cityby RiponladyComment: This is an unusual viewpoint for the cityscape and certainly tells a story about the role the water plays on the life of the city. Overall, the image is lacking some in definition/clarity/details and could have helped being a bit larger, up to the 720 pixels allowd. |
