Peek-a-boo hippoby TikicharmComment: Odd critters aren't they?
This could have really been much more effective had the eye and area around it not been so deep in the shadows. Not a difficult fix in Photoshop using levels in a new layer via copy, then soft brush erasing back the areas that didn't need to be brightened up.
Jst a thought. |

Glass Outakeby roby21112Comment: Had to sit here and study this a while and came to the conclusion that it's an upward view into a chandelier? Most unusual shot, but appears to be suffering from a number of areas that aren't very sharp/clear and some jpeg artifacts from image compression. |

lady graceby laf6Comment: I think I understand the image, but the lack of clarity and detail hurts this overall in my opinion.
Certainly a most unusual piece of artistic expression. |

Restless Sea by mpetersComment: The deep rich tones here add so much to this image, and the lighthouse & buildings work well as a strong main focal point. Well done ! |

Kookaburraby robsComment: These birds are so darned cute and love their name.
This image could have done a lot better in my opinion, had the background not been so harsh and high in contrast, and some detail brought out of the eye.
I played a little with it in Photoshop just out of curiosity and applied a brown toned black & white layer to the image overall, did edit, fade, and watched until I was able to get a slightly toned, but desaturated look to the background, then erased back in the bird and the main branch. I did a strong USM sharpening of the bird and main branch and adjusted the levels in the eye , then added some black to the reds (selective colors adjustments)in the branch.
Feel free to PM me for a URL where I put it (in my workshop folder). |

Such character shown here, with a smile that goes clear to his soul. |

For the Love of Musicby alien2thisworldComment: I like the way this scene portrays the musician, deeply involved in what he is doing, in his own world.
Great choice for a black & white edit. |

Into Death Valleyby AgaricusComment: Though lacking a strong focal point, the colors/tones and general composition take over as the focal point. Very nice. |
