Paradise Lostby notesinstonesComment: I am truly sorry this came out so low in rankings. It was a superbly executed foto. In the top 5 of those I rated. (Gave it a 9.)
Both my mom and fiance "awwwwed" when they saw it. It garnered one of the best reactions of all the entries I showed them. Be proud. DPC does not always accept very creative shots.
In fact, I bet if you made this one available as a print you'll see more success than many ribbon fotos. |

owl1.jpgby polkopComment: May be just a touch over exposed on the white. And I'd like a touch more sharpness on the crown of it's head. Looks like it starts to blurr from DOF. And I would like a bit more on the bottom of the bird.
That said, it is a great capture and a nice shot. Good expression and a fair amount of detail.
*thumbs up*
(Don't you love comments like these "lighting is a little flat, retake in better conditions" yes, if I could simply pull such a bird out of my hat when conditions were perfect I would do so. That's just luck of the draw. It's what can make the difference between a good capture and a great capture but often such is not within the photographer's means or ability to improve upon.) |

Reticello (a blown glass technique)by lindesComment: I like the pattern, a touch washed out to the top right and a bit blotchy here and there. However, I realize this is a basic challenge and I myself could not remove a small blotch from my own. (6) |

Enosiophobiaby PuskarComment: I don't think this one went over the line...I think people are just a little unnerved by the bondage aspects. But I it more artistic than a lot of the pin-up style sexy shots people take. And although it bears more skin it leaves much more hidden.
(And I am a christian right wing conservative evil monster, for any unaware who avoid the rant threads.) |

JoyInLightby gr8daneComment: This is a most wonderful nightshot. I am not sure "where" that is, but you might want to offer/sell it to them for advertising, postcard, etc use....
