Turret Viewby majuicyComment: Um - a very tough exposure.
a) The exposure on the keyhole area seems right on.
b) You do have some detail in the shadowed area.
If you try to increase the detail in the shadow area you will OVER expose the keyhole area (if done in camera).
If you can do it in post processing - select only the shadow area and do some adjusting (Assuming it's for yourself or is within the editing rulkes for a submission.) |

Washingtonby blemtComment: Great framing to demonstrate deep DoF. I would give anything for this to have a nice blue sky! It's exceptional as it is, but the added color - and contrast with the monument and pillars, would take it towards the top. |

Time to rest.by sixmacsComment: It's a beautiful sunset with a perfect sky and ploeasing colors. I'd remove most of the bottom silhouette as that vast black area overpowers the sky. NOt a terrific example of deep DoF without something closer and in focus. |

Deep in the Rainforestby gajmajComment: Excellent example of deep DoF. Using the boulder in the right foreground adds a good lead-in to a very nice scenic. The yellow underwater objects add a great touch of color. Now if there were a person way up the river - back towards the trees in a red jacket.. |

Solitudeby LafaminitComment: A very pleasant view - great composition, exposure. The hint of clouds in the sky adds to the mood. WTG. |

Going over the game...by kevrobertsonComment: Nice positioning of your models - composition is very pleaseing. The few wildflowers add a great feel. The over saturated colors really work well for this image. I like the slim Jim format - it may even be better with a little of the sky cropped off. |

Tranquil Afternoonby garrywhite2Comment: Composition is ok with the tree on the left framing the image. Overall it's pretty busy, without a central point of impact. Lighting seems rather harsh. |

Castle Wallsby redmoonComment: Nice example of DoF. Sky is interesting and much better than a bald white one. Composition is effective although it does seem like the near wall is leaning our way. Black and white was a good choice. |

Swallowed by the Forestby DJLubaComment: I like the colors - a bit saturated but effective. Great DoF - meeting the challenge very well. Improve it by: a) Not placing the gray granite dead center, and b) Remove the overpowering border. |
