The colors are nice and compliment each other well. But, I don't get the miniature object, is there one? The oof leaves in the foreground really detract.

It's an exceptional macro - perfect lighting and focus. But the only thing that makes it a miniature version of something that is normally larger - is your title. It's too bad because the photo is so excellent, hope you entered something similar in the macro IV.

Your idea was very good. I like the orange coloration, but the angle of the lighting and the angle you took the shot makes it rather difficult too see the "facial" area.

Hi Dane and Greetings from the Critique Club

My wife and I took a 30-day trip to New Zealand last year and LOVED it. We especially like the Kerikeri area, stayed at a great B&B "The Summer House." We also loved the restaurant by the nursery.

First, let me say the the DPC band challenge was a blast, but it was also very competitive. The DPCer creative juices were really flowing, producing some of the best album covers imaginable.

Your doggie shot is great - unusual composition makes it stand out from the crowd, good lighting, perfect focus on the eye. The texture in the fur is superb. The pose gives it a sense of mystery and humor at the same time.

But, my gosh, the text you chose could not have been much worse. It's so gaudy and distracting that it takes over the image, making it hard to concentrate on the dog. I'd bet your score would have been much much better with the same image and a plainish, single colored font.

The band name itself isn't terribly attractive - but it's pretty hard to make much out of "DPC".

Keep shooting, keep submitting, and say howdy to Rod and Christine from The Summer House should you happen upon them.

What a neat idea! Everything works except the exposure seems a good full stop hot.

It's an awesome sunset/sunrise shot - great colors. The wide angle lens did downsize the sun, but the idea was to shoot a miniature "something."

He he. Great object - well exposed and composed. The white lines and brown dots on the top are a bit distracting.

The idea was good, colors are nice. I like the background - except for the sand/dirt. What represents miniature?

It's a great kiity picture - eyes are superbly focused and exposed. The little red nose adds impact. But - what is miniature?
