Looks more like the Venice in California than the one in Italy. Good submission in this challange. The only thing I could say againist it is that the resolution seems a bit low. On my screen I'm seeing more compression artifacts than in other entries.

Old time beer and old time religion, take your pick:) Nice idea. I like the juxtaposition of the signs. The building is a little burned out, but that makes the church sign stand out more. Would it have been possible to get good sun lines in the early morning or late afternoon? A warmer color temperature might have made it less sterile and might have reduced the contrast some.
