For whom the bell(s) tollby awpollardComment: There is a softness here that is kind of nice. The colors work very well together in a way that says class. I don't care for borders though. 9

Christmas in Victoria by ccraftComment: I would have liked to have seen this rotated a few degrees cw. That would have made the center stucture vertical and create a symetry in the image. As is, it seems off balance to me. Still, 7 becuase I like the subject, sharpeness and exposure.

Mama's gonna buy you...by basia03Comment: The compositon is really cluttered. It took me awhile to find the bird. Also, the bird is cut in half, not a good thing. If is was up close to her face, this would have been a good photo. |

Feline Kissesby toddnicholsphotographyComment: The photo should be larger. If the cat's face was in focus, this would have gotten a high score from me. Unfortunately, it's not. 4 |

Dog and Babyby stupidcatComment: Returning for comments. This was almost a very good photograph, but as it is, it's just a snapshot. Let me explain. I think a photograph is something that you or others would hang on the wall, or in paging through an album or book, would pause to look at whereas a snapshot is something that the family would enjoy, but probably wouldn't hang on the wall. Having said that, I realize that this was one moment in time and you had to take it. The reason that it isn't a good "photograph" (in my opinion) is that there is clutter in the background against the wall, some clutter on the carpet and the photo isn't level. If those issues were not so prominant, I would give this picture an 8 or 9 becuase there are things that I really like here such as the interaction between the child and the dog and the natural lighting on the childs face. As is, I'll have to give it a 6. |

This Kissby ejonesComment: I think this certainly meets the challenge. I would have cropped much tighter though as the window is distracting. I think if you had shown only the dog's and childs faces, it would have been more powerful. 6 |

Cold Bloodedby brockmdComment: Condro?, or emerald? - I always have a hard time with that. The fact that it's on a hook makes me think emerald . The DOF is too shallow for my tastes. I would have like to have seen the snake hanging more vertical. |
