Blue Eyed Cousinsby JewellyComment: I normally don't care all that much for images of children, but you have truly captured an image that will withstand the test of time. The focus, DOF and lighting of this image are spot on, and one can almost feel the love these two have for each other.
This is a definite keeper, and as time passes, you and these two lovely young ladies will re-visit the innocence of youth and smile, remembering that it is the simple things in life that bring the greatest joy. Well done indeed. |

Glowby BeetleComment: I do hope you won't mind... I took the liberty of fixing your link.
Very nice set up...Now I understand what it is that you were referring to. I don't do much sewing and had no idea what "Plastic Press Studs" are, but I do now.
Thanks for sharing.

Guess who's inside? :>by katOsuComment: Looks like the image was rotated at 90 degrees. I can see the eyes, and am going to guess it is an image of a cat chewing on some grass. Nicely done, and it most certainly piqued my interest. |

rusted-garden-glass.jpgby bergiekatComment: The focus and DOF for this image are spot on. Since we all have our own personal preferences, the following are things that I would have changed to meet mine.
I think I would have cropped the image differently so as to either include all of the four clusters of balls or focus specifically on one or two of them. As things stand right now, three of the four groupings are partially cut off and there is no true sense of balance to the image.
The lighting is quite good, but there is a large shadow in the center of the image, perhaps caused by the photographer casting a shadow on the subject matter. The shadow is not inherently bad however, as it does darken the metal rings, thereby drawing one's attention to the primary subject matter.
All this to say... "I like it"

Macro # 5by AlainComment: This almost looks like the backside of a toad. Good capture and the best of luck. |

blue daisyby andrijaComment: I shall work on the premise that you did NOT read the details in the challenge description. This is indeed a very nice image, but I fear your score might suffer since it does not meet the challenge criteria. |

Pure Countryby QartComment: What an absolute bummer to see this image DQ'd. I was ever so impressed by the simplicity of the image, the lighting, the wonderful use of negative space, and the overall feeling of serenity projected by this photo.
The image may have been DQ'd, but it is still a winner in my books... something I would proudly hang on my walls.
