Katby rubyrednailsComment: This is a nice portrait...she seems a bit close to the background, creating some shadowing/halo looking effect around her shoulders and neck. I understand that you were probably going for a soft focus look, which is great, but it is just a touch too soft for my taste around her eyes, which I think should appear sharper and more detailed. It works well for the rest of the portrait, however. Very good effort. :o) |

Amyby sagestudioComment: Nice portrait; could use a bit more brightness in her face, IMHO. The light on her shoulder is a tad distracting. Nice, muted background. :o) |

Carmela Violaby johnmComment: Love your sense of humor. It's refreshing when things get a bit serious on this site! :o) Great background and lighting. There are some severely highlighted/shadowed areas on the face which make details difficult to see, but overall it's a cutie. :o) |

Gizelleby MalokataComment: Such a beautiful model. The contrasts between the blouse and the dark surroundings creates a bit of a distraction to me. Maybe more light for the BG or a more muted color for her blouse? Her face is shadowed heavily on its right side. I think that with a lighting adjustment, this could be a beautiful portrait. :o) |

Where's the Party?by photomComment: Very sweet...cute pose. IMHO, the necklace is more of a distraction than anything. She has such a sweet expression, the catchlight in her eyes highlights it perfectly. Not crazy about the vignette, but it isn't a distraction. :o) |

Harrisonby Frank BeckmanComment: Cute baby, but the image is out of focus. I think the colors and contrast could be tweaked a bit to maximize this adorable image. :o) |

MyTootsieby neilmwilsonComment: The light coming down on her face is a bit harsh...creates a glow on her hair. Also, there is a wisp of hair in her bangs that covers the iris of her right eye, which causes her eye too look completly white and unnatural. Pose is cute, but the pop casts a big shadow on the left side of her face. The sleeve covering her hand is a distraction to me. The highlight on the tip of her nose creates a glow that almost causes that part of her nose to disappear. With a bit of a lighting adjustment, this could be a very nice portrait. :o) |

Portrait Doubleby ColeyComment: Quite an interesting take on the challenge. The image appears, on my monitor, to be a bit soft on focus. The skin is a bit shiny as well, which is distracting. Good effort, and kudos for being different. :o) |

Breakfast for Twoby OneSweetSinComment: How sweet! The lighting in this picture is just a bit flat, almost creating a hazy look. Perhaps a different background or a bit stronger key light could help. :o) |

Glowingby lizzyc3Comment: I am a big fan of the diffuse glow filter. It seems to be applied a tad too heavily to her forehead and nose, causing them to appear out of balance with the rest of her features. The right side of the portrait is also darker than the left, creating more imbalance. Her red hair and blue shirt compliment each other nicely. On my monitor, the lipstick seems a bit too saturated, which kind of makes it clash with the colors in the rest of the photo. Cute pose, great expression. :o) |
