Separate Spaceby dahkotaComment: Visually thought-provoking and quite a contrast on many levels. The juxtaposition of the man of color, the white lady, the haves and the have nots, the youth and the aging, the directions in which they are looking (as well as the directions their lives have taken them)...they all come together nicely. Gotta wonder what those inflatable bats are for. I wish there was a tiny bit more room at the feet, but that's neither here nor there. Well done. :) |

Expressionsby reemasComment: I keep coming back to look at this one. I really like the tonal range you've captured. Nice textures as well. Too bad I'm not teaching theatre arts anymore, this would definitely be a print I'd hang in my classroom. Nice! :) |

old egypt/new egyptby RiponladyComment: What an interesting juxtaposition of old and new! I like the color rendering and the "feel" of this image. I would suggest cropping the right side a bit more, for two reasons...cutting out the partially-pictured man, and making for a less-centered subject. I'd also rotate a tiny bit to the left, as the horizon seems a little bit tilted. It probably isn't, but the angle makes is appear so. Nice post! :) |
