I think this would be an excellent entry but it is so small I can't see the detail I'd like to. Try to use all the pixels available to you ... 640 on a side.

I like this a lot. I'm not sure that it's a great example of texture but the creative idea, composition, light and shadow on the paper are all terrific. The shadows on the flat surface it's resting on are a bit harsh. If you had softened the lighting to soften those shadows, I would have given it an extra point or two.

This is very nice. I love the composition. I really like the gradations of light and shadow. It does a pretty good job of capturing texture. There are some who will not appreciate the grain inthe background. I happen to like it and believe it gives it character and captures a texture all its own. It looks to me like you may have dust on your sensor leading to quite a few artifacts which distract from this otherwise very worthy photo.
