Sunset of Inspirationby kingduck777Comment: Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case. It seems to me you have tried to convey color and broad form in an almost abstract image. To my eye, it is not abstract enough to pull that off and therefore my eye is looking for something in sharp focus and I can't find anything. |

oops, dropped my cup and a photographer happened to capture it using a strobe flash.by lizarabjadComment: Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case unless it's Edgerton. Would that be right? I would prefer to see the image without the border ... it is the image that is interesting but almost a quarter of the frame is consumed with the border which adds no interest for me. |

Sky is terrific. Ground is not. In advanced editing, you could have given us more light on the mountains without blowing the sky. That would have improved my reaction tot he photo I think. |

Grainby BudComment: Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case. This subject has been photographed many many times. To compare well with the genre, I would suggest brightening the image somewhat, increasing the saturation, and greater DOF. These may not have been your intent but they are my preferences. |

Piss Angelby treenodeComment: Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case. I actually like this image as an abstract. DOF is interesting. Texture is interesting. Title diminishes the work, IMO. |

This is actually a well executed photo ... probably better than it will score in the voting here. Composition is interesting. |

I can't figure out who that would be in this case. I can't find anything is crisp focus ... maybe that was not your intent but it would be my preference. The background distracts me from your subject. |

The Pyramids in Indianapolisby ltaylorComment: Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case. I like the concept here and the shapes against the sky. You've got some distracting jpg artifacts along the diagonal building edges. |
