WOW this was a flop! I can't believe how badly it did. I must be the most erratic contestant, 86% in my first challenge and 4% in my second. Oh well, I'm still new.

I liked the way Karl could take a person and capture them in the moment which is what I tried to do - the soft focus was my input - I felt it gave the sense of her being ghost-like and adding to the "creepy" mood of the image, obviously not a very popular choice. I guess I never really did Karl much justice did I? (that was a rhetorical question so please don't have a go at me)

This image needs focus. Except for her right strap, nothing seems to be in focus. Sorry.

Very well dramatized. Bumping up on that great semi sinister gaze.

Focus appears to be on her shoulder strap. A little too soft for me. That aside - Lovely capture

I'd have liked her eyes in focus, but since I don't recognize the style (probably my fault, not yours), I don't know if the soft focus on her face is an objective. The sepia-like tone gives it a nice warmth.

The focus is on her neck. Why? Was it supposed 2 be like that?

Focus is soft, but I love the tone of the image.

the tribute is to whom?DNMC 1

Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case. I can't find anything is crisp focus ... maybe that was not your intent but it would be my preference. The background distracts me from your subject.

great expression, but why is focus on her neck?
01/25/2006 03:37:57 AM
the focus point looks like it is on the hair at the back of her head...not sure who the tribute is to ... sorry
