Petalsby BudComment: Just a little bit too shallow DOF for my taste. Otherwise, terriffic! |

Squared offby DeiganComment: Great subject and composition, but I recommend easing off on the sharpening. |

Hang Timeby idnicComment: Nice action shot. Good dynamics. Great focus. A bit too sharp (board and sandle edges) for my taste. Easy does it on unsharp mask. |

"Ons vir jou Suid Afrika": a tribute to.....by JuganComment: Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case. Otherwise it a pleasing abstract image. |

Thoughtsby HRoxasComment: Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case. I actually like this photo quite a bit. Focus and lighting on the subject is quite good. DOF was well chosen. If I knew whose style you were emulating and if I could determine it's representative, I could have scored this image 2-3 points higher. |

RGBby msieglerfrComment: Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case. I like your photo quite a bit. The bold vibrant primary colors are attractive. Saturation works well. I like the foreground-background shapes. If I knew whose style you're emulating and if I could determine if it was representative, I could have given this photo 3-4 more points in my vote. |

Impressionistic Flowerby Dark SageComment: Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case. I am not too fond of abstacts so my reaction to this might be a bit pre-ordained. It feels to me that the centered composition would be less interesting than an off centered one consistent with the golden mean / rule of thirds. Now you may have intentionally centered the composition, and that's fine, but it wouldn't be my preference. |

Still a worthy photo. The background is a bit noisy and the subject a bit sharp. You may have intended this look but it would not be my preference. |
