Fleshby oskarComment: Easy does it on the sharpening. This is just my opinion but to me it looks over sharpened. Backing off a bit would have improved it for me. |

stone facedby bobdaveantComment: Easy does it on the sharpening. This is just my opinion but to me it looks way over sharpened ... to the point of distraction. Backing off a bit would have improved an otherwise worthy photo. |

Bristlyby RolandBComment: Great subject. Nicely composed and lit. Does a good job conveying emotion. But feels a little over sharpened to me. Hope it does well in the voting. |

Japanese Gardenby dsa157Comment: I think I know this place, and if so, you have done a marvelous job catching it perfectly. Well done. I can truly feel the texture of the place ... part of it's lighting, part composition, part colors. I am delighted you resisted over sharpening. The photo demonstrates a looser definition of texture that DPC voters may embrace. I fear it won't be voted as highly as i think it should. I hope I'm wrong. Among my top 10. Hope it ribbons. |

Feel the Stormby KivetComment: I really like this photo. I like its out-of-the-box nature. It does a very nice job of capturing the texture of the sky. I'm a pilot and I've seen a lot of sky. Well done! I fear that it won't score as highly as I think it should because it employs a broader definition of texture than voters will appreciate. Hope I'm wrong. It's among my top 10 and I hope it ribbons. |

Stumpby lahernComment: Beautifully captured. I love how the rings lead the eye around the photo. Very nicely lit. Terrific DOF. I might have cropped a little tighter on the left and a little looser on the right, but no worries, it's among my top 10 picks. Well done! |

Firestoneby sherpetComment: Beautifully done. Not only have you captured texture in the small (surface texture) but you also caught texture in the large (variously colored flakes). I like that. Among my top 10 picks. |
