Hugo Spearby BobsterLobsterComment: Yes, mine as well. Great angle/perspective. Wish there was just a tad more detail in his pants which seem to be hovering around Zone 1 but that is my only criticism. |

A Nice Place to Restby TuckersmomComment: Great framing and great lighting, although it could be a little more diffuse. The shot is full of places for the eye to wander to yet it is not too cluttered. Great! |

Water's Giftby TuckersmomComment: I love our use of water in your photos. It's outstanding and really sets apart some of your images from the normal blase-type shots. |

A Colorful Dishby TuckersmomComment: Great clarity and wonderful composition. I think that the color of the shadows is slightly distracting but this could easily be remedies with some PS work. I can almost smell the spice... mmmmm... i'm hungry now! |

After the Rainby TuckersmomComment: Wow! This one's a winner. I agree with setting this up as a print. I would perhaps get rid of some of the brownish blemishes but otherwise this is a crackling and outstanding shot that just has that "Oomph!" that I love! |

The Trailby NeilComment: Awesome use of leading lines here. There are so many things in this image that are just so positive and, well, cool! The colors and the sky are really great and the composition is effective and dramatic. Great stuff! |

Dahila & Lightby mystical_princessComment: Greetings from the Critique Club!
Congrats on your second-highest placed image!
This is a well-deserved upper-5 shot. I personally gave it a 6 and I remember voting on this image. What struck me as very cool was the reddish-brown muted background behind the flower. I know it's a little weird to like a background better than the focal point in a still life but, hey, I was never known to be sane.
The flower itself is very beautiful and I feel that you have picked an appropriate angle on the flower. However there are a couple things that I feel do not work great. First off, I think that a little more breathing room on all sides of the photo is a good idea. The cropping, whether in- or out-of-camera seems al ittle bit tight and on such an airy and free image, I feel like the flower is being constricted. Secondly, the lighting seems a little harsh and unpleasant.
I agree that the water droplets add another dimension to the photo, as they always do, but yet I feel that the greenish reflections in them are a little bit unpleasing as well.
Besides some minor setbacks -- this is definitely an image to be proud of!

Diagonals and Linesby banmornComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
First off, congrats on fourth place!
This is a hard critique because there's basically nothing wrong with this image. It works as a great abstract with wonderful deep blue reflectoins and great lines that break up the image and give it some depth. It seems, perhaps, a tad overshapened... but that may just be me trying to find a flaw :)
Ach, I give up! Great shot --- well worth your fourth highest score ever (w00t!)!
Keep it up -- your stuff rocks :)

butterfly_1878.jpgby LKMoteComment: Wow!!! The movement here is incredible and absolutely unique. Astounding! What a great shot, I am amazed. It is perhaps a little bit too centered, but this is beautiful. |
