fiery hairby SandymayaComment: Cool shot, nice pose, strong colors. But I don't see how a long exposure really helps here; I'd have preferred to see this with the motion frozen rather than blurred, or perhaps it's simply not blurred enough. The overall effect is one of softening--there should be something sharper here. Motion blur doesn't have to mean that nothing is well focused. (6) |

A Fall on Sundayby michelaudetteComment: Cool falls, generally strong composition. Too much tone-mapping and too little sharpening for my taste. (6) |

Turning my back to the sunsetby evanescenteComment: Given the overall tranquil feel of this image, I wonder if it would have been stronger if it had been rotated to keep the foreground rocks in a horizontal line. (6) |

Fallsby emily212Comment: I love waterfalls, and this one looks like it has some interesting features. But there are some real compositional problems here--namely the titled horizon and the distracting foreground elements. A closer crop would have helped. Also, some sharpening and selective levels adjustments would have helped bring out the definition in the water. (5) |

Isn't She Lovely?by MaryOComment: Wow, yeah, that's a remarkably weird bug. Great sharpness, and I like the DOF. Good call on using the flash diffuser! The tones and colors are quite pleasing. |

Long Exposureby slickwillyComment: I'm afraid I can't see anything in this photograph to indicate the length of the exposure. |

Church Expressby marvinComment: To my eye, this photo suffers from a lack of a readily identifiable focal point. The train blur to the lower right distracts from the rest of the photo. Most of the image appears underexposed. (5) |
