A Day at the Pierby photomill31Comment: Ferris wheels are a great object of photographic study, but here, the flat tones, soft processing, and distracting foreground prevent this image from commanding much attention. |

Strengthby bcrantsComment: I like the solemnity of this photo, but the bright, thick halo really detracts. |

Red Rock Crossing Moon Riseby PoobaComment: Looks like the moon was selectively darkened, and the sky is a weirdly saturated and flat cyan. PP to bring out features is great, but push it too far and it just looks unnatural. |

Personalityby NeilComment: I secretly think you should have entered this in the Boats challenge; I liked it much better than your actual entry, but was somewhat too intimidated to speak against the consensus favoring the one you did enter. I hope this one gets closer to the score you deserve! If I voted on this, I'd have given it an 8. |

434by pixelpigComment: Cool abstraction! Did you reduce the color depth? I wish the gradients were smoother.
And I applaud your nice neat desktop--fewer icons is the way to go. :) |

Azurite on Malachiteby CoryComment: Nice one, man, very cool. The subtle lighting is perfect. I didn't even know that malachite formed in this way--I always think of the highly striated stuff you see jewelry made out of. |
