Another Nail In The Coffin!!by SteveJComment: Kurt Vonnegut was once sitting at a table at some social event, smoking by himself, when a woman came up to him and asked what he was doing.
"Committing suicide by cigarette," he said.
Sepia works well for this picture, but I wish it were a bit darker. Contrast looks ok; it's just too bright. |

More time looking; less time shootingby e301Comment: it really is important to strike a balance between taking in a scene and taking a picture of it. sometimes i think it's better to go out without a camera so that i actually remember to look at what's in front of me, instead of pulling out the camera, shooting it, and then feeling like i've accomplished my business there.
great photo, great title. 9. |

...to be more curious.by whatdewucComment: sky above the cat looks heavily burned in... dunno if that's what you did, but especially on the cat's outline the darkness is strange looking. otherwise very nice photo. the lighting that cuts the cat's eyes in half is especially appealing. |

3 Gearsby Prof_FateComment: Would be a very good image if the focus were sharper. |

Mechanical Pencilby sfarrell23Comment: The focus on this one is really quite astounding, and I like your color choice for the border too. |

Stairway to Nowhereby codauberComment: I'm fairly confident that an escalator uses electricity for its motion, which goes against the challenge... the reflections are interesting but the subject seems inappropriate. |

Piano Studyby nicolepComment: I give this a 9, which is the highest I've given anything for this challenge. I really like the composition and the detail, but the focus is a bit soft whereas sharpness would help the image, and the bright spots are distracting. Still overall very good. Great tonal range. |
