colored soil, translucent waterby saiphfireComment: aha, that just about has to be the salt ponds near SF. very cool stuff. it's actually not the soil that's colored (assuming I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing), it's algae in the water of different colors depending on the level of saltiness. |

rebound by ralphComment: the reflections on the liquid are fabulous. as for the refraction in the drop/splash, I can't help but wish that the drop showed more of the spiral and not so much black. very interesting use of a classic technique. |
