Evening at Sleafordby John WhiteComment: A nice picture, and I think the triptych format does work well for it here. the composition is complex enough that the invitation to look at each part seperately is rewarding. as for the presentation, I find the drop shadow distracting. I think you'd have been better off with a more traditional outlining stroke. |

Making of a Pumpkin Pieby DeniseBernadetteComment: Ah, I like that you have a 'story' here. There is a much stronger concept in this piece than in a great many in this challenge. I think you could have done a bit more with your measuring spoons - look at the angles from which the three shots were taken. the measuring spoons are all straight overhead, but the pie is at a 45 degree angle. I think it would have been compositionally stronger to have the leftmost shot of the spoons also taken at 45 degrees, which would give you a nice symmetry of perspective: 45 - 90 - 45. It would also have been nice to see some more consistency in the lighting. The pie shot has a lovely soft shadow - I'd like to see that soft lighting on the spoons as well. (7) |

Another day in Paradiseby JeanComment: the photograph you used here is lovely, but I don't think the triptych format enhances it. the drop shadows are distracting. |

Peak District Triptych by FalcComment: the three photos you have chosen are all quite gorgeous. I'm afraid I don't think your layout flatters them. both of the upper two are too close to the edges and seem to serve little compositional purpose. I could see a single photograph at the top, possibly centered between the two sides, but the two up in the corner there just don't make sense to me. |

MEEOOW!!by pearlseyesComment: gorgeous contours, but I wish that the composition were a bit less abstract! I think this would have met the challenge with no less finesse if you had shown more (or the whole) of the model |
