Nature's Intentionby mattmacComment: I like the idea. Not sure that so much space is really necessary on the sides. The blur on the left foot (camera right) is distracting me. |

Used Bootsby KaizerComment: the focus is good and the worn boots hold promise as a photographic subject, but in this picture, I see poor use of light and tonality. the small hot spots on the boots are distracting, and the tones of the boots are too close to the surrounding to really stand out. the darkest tones are all in the background, which is distracting, and also causes the boots to look washed out. the subject of the photo is hugging the bottom of the frame, making the image look off-balance. no apparent compositional or conceptual purpose is served by the inclusion of so much space above the boots. |

Peanut Butter & Jellies??by Qwest30Comment: A bit more attention and care in the presentation would enhance the impact. The rumpled, distracting background does not help, and there was clearly no attempt to deal with the edge of the table. the light is harsh and flat, giving little sense of depth or form. not to mention that the very idea you have depicted here is improbably unrealistic and unappetizing. |

Suedeby jrtoddComment: supple indeed. good use of a studio environment. might have liked to see a bit more breathing room at the edges. the composition is not as strong as I feel it could be, though I'm not sure I could point exactly to how it might be improved. |

The Set Listby notesinstonesComment: seems arbitrary - the reasoning behind snapping the shutter at this particular moment is unclear. very little to hold the eye. |

On the Railsby MartinKempComment: the shoes have a tonal value too close to the rails to stand out well. if they were a true black this might have been an easier image to understand. |
