What a fine image! Walks the line between real life and diorama, magical in any case. It seems self-contained, yet those far-flung mountains, beautiful and mysterious, beckon. The overall green wash pulls it together, giving it that insular feel of a brigadoon. The blushing fog and yellow points of light are a chiming counterpoint. Thoroughly enchanting.

Really? I think this is quite good. The colors, the processing, the intriguing scene, the overall oddity of this almost extra-terrestrial image deserve a deeper reconsideration. I gave it a 6 and regret not breaking the ceiling with an 8. Slipped up, I guess. Pardon me.

Thought this would do much better. I do like the contrast. Sometimes blown out whites signify intensity. The wooded hillside is enchanting. The graininess of the sky enhances its foreboding presence. The foreground farm and road is fascinating in all its detail and fine texture. It has the feel of a charming diorama.
