Power fairies by AmmieComment: Absolutely lovely, the colors, the fading symmetry, gentle curves. Terrific title. I usually think of wabi sabi on a small scale, yet what's more wonderful than looking up into the sky, an so this too enchants. I also like how the complexity of the foreground sets off the structures and the blue-yellow background.

On the Fenceby Yo_SpiffComment: Come close and partake in the mystery. There's something ceremonial about this image, ritualistic. That smattering of yellow-green on the lapis lazuli ironwork. Sinking deeper and deeper, I submit.

There is something about Juneby mariucaComment: A beautiful June evening (I'm guessing), could it get any better? Yes, it can be adorned by a filigree of vines and leaves standing out against the retreating light. The softness of the background is the perfect murmur for this enchanting shot. The sweetness of time passing.

Feeling That Wayby hhuddleComment: Lovely, airy image that epitomizes Greece. So it's more than the typical architecture, in bright blue and white, but the expanse of that great culture spread out before us. The darker blue of the sea beyond, and the rocky, jutting land, is seen from above, as if by the gods. I love how the sea and sky mingle at the horizon, beckoning. It's as much about the architecture of the world as of this church.

I am a night watchman by pgirish007Comment: Nice continuity between the sea and sky, earth and galaxy. The understated colors contribute to this. Half and half composition works well.

kaleidoscopeby skewsmeComment: Should have done better, in my opinion. Verges sharply, maybe too sharply, into art. |

Evening Sunby NikonJebComment: Much more interesting, even compelling, than the number result implies. Don't understand the low votes. Perhaps it's not neat enough. |

The Noise of... Daylightby LydiaComment: Despite your self-depredation, I find this photo to be marvelous. The blues are gorgeous. The sun is gorgeous, overwhelming in its generous embrace. I love how the noise imbues it with a fine, shimmering texture. This feels like the ultima Thule, where secrets can finally be revealed. The perspective is awesome. Thank you. |
