Beautiful shot artfully observed. The screen through which this is photographed transforms the scene into a filigree tapestry. The dog, striped with sunlight, is in classic repose. Looking through one window with its curtained corner, through the languid interior and out an opposite, curtained window, graced with a pitcher and a photograph of what my imagination suggests is the Dalai Lama, is a journey of prodigious delight.

A happy marriage between a wonderfully complex sky of a continuum of tones and a very interesting foreground of buildings, trees and cropland lit by that heightened light that presages rain. Textures galore. Terrific stuff.

The huge foreground fans out symmetrically into a pleasing moire-like effect, transitioning from high detail into solid earth tones. I like how this is composed to be capped off by a distant, tree-lined horizon and slice of interesting sky. Pleasingly hypnotic.

Well-defined depth of field invites you to linger over these implements and pitcher(?), explore their forms, clean lines and material. They're kind of like musical notes made visual. Very pleasing overall effect, but I admit that I'm fonder of the lower half background than the upper.
