Diamondby Dr.ConfuserComment: A vivid silhouetted pattern. We know how exacting this maneuver is, yet here we have it playing out against the gauzy serenity of a beautiful mountain under a wispy sky. A wonderful contrast is set up here, the transition being those sweeping contrails, from sharp to windblown. Nice balance. |

Countdownby Jules1xComment: A cozy lineup of huggable airplanes with an apocalyptic grace note. Strangely riveting and powerful. A strong and crackling combination. |

starburstby flahermaComment: A simple, lovely pattern so aptly described by its title, with a small "s" in keeping with its modesty. But I really like it; it more than holds its own. |

Nature's Ownby AmmieComment: A lovely image of waves of incoming mountains and farm rows, a gentle and peaceful pattern. The colors are delicate and in harmony. An abstract tapestry. |

circles and curvesby BrennanOBComment: Wow! This Escher-like photograph has a lot of interesting things going on. Patterns abound in the brickwork, stairs and railings and ferns. It comes together rather well, but personally I'm a bit overwhelmed. The person descending the staircase is an important anchor. Still, I gave it a high mark because of its ebullience. |

Amaranthineby CNovackComment: Of all the flowers featured in this challenge, I find this one to be the most stunning and fascinating. The pattern is compelling. The transitions from bud to petals are exquisite. Outstanding image. |

The Barby NikonJebComment: A well-composed scene that reveals a patchwork quilt of patterns and tones. Modest, subtle and artistic. Beautifully exposed. The water on the floor is a great touch. Very satisfying. |

Follow the patternby clickodakComment: Nicely seen elegant patch in the tunnel, glossy and rhythmic, like a strip of taffy. I like how it's both realistic and abstract. |

sittingby TiberiusComment: Elegant pattern of silver chairs, with the woman in red as the cherry on top. I like the natural ease of this image and congratulate the photographer for his/her patient disposition in allowing the scene to speak for itself. |
