Handsomely put together and visually surprising. Unlike many entries that merely grouped disparate objects together, you've offered an entirety, a story that relates the objects and is jarringly quirky. The bright red-orange of the tentacles is the perfect note to bring it all together.

I love this image for many reasons. Though obviously a car dashboard, it's reinvigorated from the mundane by holding it up for close attention. The knobs have come alive in gleaming contrast to the dark, muddied background, so deliciously and murkily processed. The surrealism, in my opinion, is engendered by the sense of hovering about the inanimate and the sense of imminent ignition, roaring to life. And it's just so impressive how very much the photographer can glean from what is easily passed by as too familiar to be worthy of note. Inspirational.

Even though not to my understanding of a still life, the wonder of this image has, in my opinion, launched it past such stricture with its keen appreciation of the surreal. The succinct yet resonant title is perfect. The patch of scenery extracted from darkness is a world apart, but with the sense of continuity implied by the streaking lines of light. The blood moon darts about like a loosed balloon. And a person walks distantly into the scenery. The colors are gorgeous. I'm transported. My personal favorite in this challenge.
