Kind of a playground stretch, but the image is very attractive and it sure looks like the canoer is enjoying him- or herself. I love how that rock looms up on the left. Very serene.

This compelling image has an elegiac air to it, kind of like The Secret Garden. The vignette is artfully handled and lends great atmosphere overall. The desaturated tone further enhances the mood. Very fine.

A charming evocation of childhood. She sweetly owns this windswept terrain, fearlessly moving into it. Lovely image.

Yes it's a terrific image on a real playground, but what, to me, lifts this even above that is this young girl, enchantment itself. The background, whizzing by, still feels clean. The colors are so friendly, especially her delightful clothing.
My second favorite in the challenge.

Fine title, wonderful photograph. Neat story-telling that lays out both the beginning and the end. The bottom of the slide reaches out to the viewer like a giant tongue. This is so wonderfully thought out and composed. The children are perfectly positioned. Also, this is a real playground, unlike many of the entries.
