Lostby PennyStreetComment: Didn't comment in this challenge but would like to second the appreciative comments of all those who did. Georges' Lilliputians, yes. Mariuca's Gogol, yes. Throw Bruegel in there as well. Just wonderful. Besides the imaginative beauty of the image I'd like to applaud the use of grain and white space. A tour de force. |

Portalsby NeatComment: Another image I didn't properly appreciate. Sorry. Look through these eyeglasses and see the world ashimmer. Glorious reflection. |

mixed messagesby mariucaComment: Didn't give this image the appreciation it deserves. Sorry. It's a floating, billowing, quixotic scene. And oh, the many shades of white. |

levelby TiberiusComment: Lovely interpretation of Escher's architecture. Gloriously intricate, textured and messy, it's much meatier than Escher's stylized jewels. There's even a ladder, and the detail is terrific. Great light and shadow.
Additionally clever is the title, "level", flippable as a palindrome.
Fine image. |

Spidergirlby SistoComment: This looks so good flipped over, and I never would have foreseen this had I seen it upright. It seems to be a special ability to imagine such results before they're performed, an ability I don't have. It's like she's holding a spaceship aloft, elegant as a swallow. I love the composition and the color combination. Beautifully ethereal. |

Boat Dreams by grahamgatorComment: Great title. Just the perfect amount of shimmer in the water to attain an impressionistic seascape. The vaguely pyramidal composition is quite pleasing. The "sky" has been adroitly enhanced, but no more than in keeping with the playful toying with the up top original. Impressive and entrancing. |

Hanging Gardenby jomariComment: A mesmerizing vision, exotic and moving. The upside down flowers remind me of nothing more than jellyfish in a magical sea, silent and unaware of their own beauty. I think I'd call it an artful disposition rather than composition. Does that make any sense? You've got the touch. |

Crossing the Chasm by markwileyComment: So much to see and appreciate here. The entire scene seems supported by columns of legs and varied shoes. The puddle that provides the canvas opens up on a surreal urban carnival, bright and expansive. The roadway peeks through the water as stars-cum-confetti. The central man in shorts strides across like a colossus. It's fun and enchanting.
Personal favorite of the challenge. |

Hello From The Puddleby QuickClickMickComment: This inverted world is so much more portentous than ho-hum reality. It's almost dystopian with stuff flying through the air, people wandering aimlessly. I want to see the movie. Good stuff. |
