Maintaining The Lightby westfordComment: Nailed the thirds in a visually joyful way. I like its straightforward manner. When I look at this I feel like I'm on vacation. Thanks. |

Snow on the mountainby otto22Comment: Impressive landscape despite the seeming sameness of much of the terrain. This has a lot to do with the quality of the light. What I really enjoy is how the meandering river teases its way up the left vertical thirds line. It's confidently casual, content with approximation. Fine image. |

New seasonby AmmieComment: A familiar landscape graced with a rather handsome blue tractor, working the field. The foreground and background are handled so well that I don't lose my enjoyment of revisiting. Great dust. Fine image. |

orange lightby lei_73Comment: Colorful and exciting. The excitement seems to arise from the shallow depth of field. The focused post on the left sets up a desire to see what's going on with the figure at the end of the walkway, but she's almost swallowed in blur. Maybe I could just as easily have said frustrating as exciting, but the latter response is what I felt. This is a very well conceived and accomplished image, which becomes more appealing as I revisit it. |

Getting Thereby posthumousComment: I like the amount of motion captured in this seemingly casual image. The biker at the right is minimally wispy, retaining the greater part of his form. The trees and road are likewise nicely blurred. Altogether unhurriedly dynamic. Fine photo. |

Old Friendsby mefnjComment: An engaging and dynamic image. The nostalgic toning seems to slow down the pace of life. I like the pattern in the foreground of the sparkling on the water. The greens of the foliage are varied and soft, reemphasizing the overall dreaminess. |

super emo by gintayComment: This monkey (thought it's a gibbon, but couldn't find a color match on google images) is perfectly situated for this challenge. He/she and his/her branch are really well-focused. The plaintive look, to be anthropocentric, draws out one's sympathy. The bokeh is wonderful. Fine image. |

Queensby oldbimmercoupeComment: Excellent image that conveys this number 7 train's power and beauty - and noise - as it rumbles towards Manhattan, traveling through typical urban terrain. I live in Queens and am familiar with this type of scene, and appreciate how quintessential this portrayal is. The copious detail can absorb ones attention for some time. The rear door window is placed at a vertex, which invites you to peer inside. The out of focus stuff in the foreground is unfortunate, but that's how it goes in such a crowded environment. Thank you for offering this image. |

Late night snack by GeorgesBogaertComment: So strong and studied that this could be a stage set. The woman, who appears to be absorbed in the moment, is planted on a thirds line. The three glamorous women nicely situate the woman with her cart in humble contrast. This wonderful image is well-framed by the less exalted workaday continuations on the left and right. Let the opera commence! |

momentby tnunComment: "Moment" indeed. Her glance towards the photographer - I figure that's what's going on - makes the entire image reverberate. She and her partner are now in curious, awkward juxtaposition. For that moment. The photographer has instigated the image, and it's a fine one at that. The surroundings feel right. His white sleeve is a terrific line that leads to their hands. Good placement of the bench at a vertex. Very fine image. |
