Fun mock-up of "You Bet Your Life," done in 1950's tv mode. The feel is all there, down to George Fenneman's usual befuddled expression. Nice graininess, which confers the sense of bygone times.

If you got it, flaunt it, Lydia. Funnest image in the challenge. I see the frigate but not the picture of Andrew Jackson - must be up front. Beautifully done, and what a becoming partner! The tones of the figures are nicely set off by the brownish, heavily vignetted background. C'est magnifique.
(Now that spellcheck let through "funnest" I can hardly wait to use "funner".)

Seemingly simple, wonderful effect. It works on an almost subliminal level. That it's in black and white just adds to the impact. A lesson on how one spins artistry from the mundane.

So well done. The photo perfectly sets up the conception that they're here with us - not really, because the drawing is in pen, and so all the more poignant. The drawing is terrific, the likenesses and scaling impressive. Such a touching, moving (no pun intended) image.

The portrait aspect of this image is minimal, but her pose is fascinating in its resemblance to an Egyptian hieroglyph - holding a cell phone, no less. I also think the composition is good. Interesting entry.
