make it two hard boiled eggsby mitalapoComment: Whoa there, momentito. Great doppelganger. Unless you know this gentleman, what a happy find. With that cleft chin, he goes Groucho one better. One can only hope he's aware of the resemblance and works some funny mannerisms and routines into his daily life. I know I would, but then again I look like Oliver Hardy. |

Classic Grouchoby mefnjComment: Stylish essence of Groucho, cleverly put together. He's unmistakable. |

Secret Woid of the Dayby Art RoflmaoComment: Fun mock-up of "You Bet Your Life," done in 1950's tv mode. The feel is all there, down to George Fenneman's usual befuddled expression. Nice graininess, which confers the sense of bygone times. |

♫ "Lydia, oh Lydia, say have you met Lydia Lydia, the Tattooed Lady"♪ - Marx 1939 by LydiaComment: If you got it, flaunt it, Lydia. Funnest image in the challenge. I see the frigate but not the picture of Andrew Jackson - must be up front. Beautifully done, and what a becoming partner! The tones of the figures are nicely set off by the brownish, heavily vignetted background. C'est magnifique.
(Now that spellcheck let through "funnest" I can hardly wait to use "funner".) |

helloimustbegoingby tnunComment: Seemingly simple, wonderful effect. It works on an almost subliminal level. That it's in black and white just adds to the impact. A lesson on how one spins artistry from the mundane.
Personal favorite of the challenge. |

Duck Soup for 4by GeorgesBogaertComment: So well done. The photo perfectly sets up the conception that they're here with us - not really, because the drawing is in pen, and so all the more poignant. The drawing is terrific, the likenesses and scaling impressive. Such a touching, moving (no pun intended) image. |

Life by LydiaComment: What a fascinating idea, and then what an elegant visual representation of it. You've hit the high note!
Also, so glad you're recovering nicely. Time for Thanksgiving. Enjoy. |

Young Girlby MonaComment: The portrait aspect of this image is minimal, but her pose is fascinating in its resemblance to an Egyptian hieroglyph - holding a cell phone, no less. I also think the composition is good. Interesting entry. |

s o f tby Bear_MusicComment: Lustrous, beautiful, ethereal image. I like that angled smile and her kind eyes. Like a presence at a seance. I also like how the sepia tones flow into each other. High class. |
