HIGH ALERTby mariucaComment: Along with the sense of vibrant color being noisy, I get the feeling that this is in a disco or arcade or something like that, and so very loud in and of itself. I also like that there seems to be a malevolent figure, especially the face, coming out of the scene and directly towards the viewer, which might elicit a very loud scream. |

reading through the racketby tvsometimeComment: Yeah, it's pretty loud, though you do become acclimated to it to the extent that it's merely background white noise. Tourists, however, do get the full effect. So what I like here is the notion that there's a nonchalant calm amid the storm. I also like how there's a feel for the stations flying by, at least form a passenger's perspective. |

I like it LOUD! by LydiaComment: "His master's voice" on steroids. And so loud. Nicely executed. One point -- the props don't have the feeling of a real setting; a couch, a side table for the lamp and an area rug, e.g., might flesh it out. I like the composition and the sense of movement. And your dog looks like he or she is giving as good as getting. |

Drum Soloby Art RoflmaoComment: Cool way to present this image. It works really well. He looks to be quite calm within the din. I also like how your choice of lens brings his right pedal foot down to the front edge. |

singing the winter blues by jmritzComment: I love this image, but for the luminance noise and the title it seems very quiet. Perhaps the noise is in his head. |

small talkby PennyStreetComment: Quiet small talk or are they competing with the clamor of the bar environment? The sun blasting in through the window is intense, and can be experienced as loud. What finally cinches it is the attendant heptagonal bokeh (is that what I should be calling it?), further adding to the tumult. I love how you've come at the challenge sideways yet managed to get your point across. |

Let there be Rockby DarkpixelComment: Full blast! She's both making an uproar and being subject to one, backed by a cloud of noise. Nicely devised and executed. Fine image. |

IMG_3547_1by CyrildaComment: This quivvery image sounds like an insistent buzzing to me. Looks like a stretch of water, surrounded by vegetation, leading to and passing under a bridge. The white bits look like falling shards of glass. Excellent portrayal of noise without really getting to it. |
