Eating Out...by thrumyiisComment: Fake, because pelicans aren't real, they're mythological creatures that are part snake, part bridegroom and part tongs.
Can't see why this isn't real, but am hoping I'm wrong. Kind of interesting, with the forest of chair legs and the overall nonchalance of the pelican. Low key (not photographically speaking) and fun. |

Birdsby MargaretNetComment: Fake, because you can't see the Alps from Wisconsin.
Don't know. It's pedestrian enough to suspect something fishy is going on, but I'm baffled and look forward to an explanation. In any case, it's pretty and peaceful. |

toast tooby HUETHComment: Real, because toast never lies. In what way he's huge is not specified -- perhaps twit, bozo or existential peril to American democracy and life on earth. Though bozo may be a bit harsh.
Okay, though quantum possibilities exist, this is a real long shot. Thank you for the smile this evoked. It's well done (no pun intended) and creative. His complexion is brown enough to bar him from entering the country. |

Beach. by LydiaComment: Fake, because Darth Vader, there behind the six people, is known to shun beach parties, at least those without Gidget popping by.
Really don't know. I like the quirky coloration. It's a strange image, to me at least, and I'm enjoying the bland surreality. |

Femme fatale by SistoComment: Fake, because there isn't a nose, which is anatomically questionable.
Clever, well-executed and startling. If this fools anyone I'd like to see the psychological evaluation. |

Double Exposure?by jomariComment: Fake, as it's obviously a Triple Exposure, as the guy is certainly about to drop his trousers.
This looks real, and enjoyably bewildering, as the planes float in and out. I like the limited palette of blue and green. |

Bridge to othersideby pgirish007Comment: Real, because that does look like Weehawken on the other side of the river.
Nicely done, though of course the viewer won't be fooled. I like the blackish and whitish interior framing, in such genteel contrast to this iconic view. The map is fine whimsical touch. |

needby jmritzComment: Fake, because we all know that poverty and homelessness have been vanquished in modern America, along with racism and tooth decay.
Looks real to me, and it's a fine image, off-balanced (commentary?) yet interestingly composed. I'd even say that the main subject is the mood. |

Toll to cross the streetby GeorgesBogaertComment: Real, because I've heard of human trafficking, but then again the booth looks like soda machine.
Clever and well-done, and the sepia nicely conveys an historical documentary feel, but -- it doesn't walk the thin line that the challenge seems to be asking to be walked, real or manufactured, because this is obviously a put on image. Quite a few photos are like this, and I'm only saying this now because it's my highest rated of them and the first to pop up. I like the image. |

into the voidby AbraComment: Fake, because if a motorcyclist had really landed in the upper level like this it would have gone viral and might even be featured on a postage stamp; also, the Dessert Bar is way too sparsely utilized.
Back on planet Earth, I have no idea. Kinda think it's real. It's rather surreal, with the restaurant packed and the stands empty, and tumbling motorcyclists. I like the overall weirdness of it. |
