The even flow on top appears to be man-made, but it still tumbles in a lovely manner. I like the compact composition that fits everything in -- falls, pool, rocky continuation of the river, massive vertical rock and delicate foliage.

Interesting dynamic tension in this elegant still-life. The shells feel both arbitrary and apt. The colors are harmonious. Has a subtle oomph.

As the river flows, so does the sky, maybe in opposite directions. I like this mirrored, curious tension. The Island of Trees reminds me of a riverboat negotiating the foamy current. There's more going on here than first meets the eye.

If not for the electric lights this could be Dickens' London, smoke billowing out of the Industrial Revolution. Fine perspective, interesting composition. Lush hour of the day. I like the pink-purple sparkling on the water.

The bright colors jump out, yet they're handsomely moderated by the many tree trunks. When I shift back and squint I enjoy it more so as an abstract than as realism. Well..., it's pretty fine both ways.

Spectacular scenery. If - Spoiler Alert!, subjective assertion ahead, may be harmful to children and some adults - it is to be marred by the hand of man, this colorful, curious assemblage is an interesting way to go. Some of the foliage is thrillingly luminous. Of course processing can aid this quality, but I'm enjoying it nevertheless, and maybe this is true to what we can see. After all this pettiness, I like the photo and wish it well.

From a land far, far away, where fairy tales are real, comes this startling and beautiful image. Let's say that there's a castle on that island in the distance. And let's say this tree standing in the water offers magical fruit for those stalwart enough to obtain it. And so on. Sign me up.
The reflections are glorious and make the scene fulfilling. The reflected cloud is kind of like a spotlight - maybe even too much so. Overall, enchanting and stirring.

Jeeves

Extremely elegant kind of noir black and white. While Jeeves (is that really his name?) fusses about in the corner, I (the viewer) feel sinister, as if I'm up to no good, to say the least. It's a real pleasure to be drawn into the image this way, almost against my will. The lighting plays a starring role. The composition is excellent. A sophisticated piece of stagecraft.
