/ / I / /by NeatComment: Good take on the challenge, a close-up of a meteor trail and its shadow beneath a cloud, lit from below, as I see it. The background is interesting. I like the texture of the path, reminiscent of a string hung in sugar water, weighted by a paper clip, the sugar starting to crystallize onto it. |

rooftop action.. or notby tvsometimeComment: Fine take on the challenge, focusing on what isn't there. I like the extended sky, nicely graduated, above the relatively narrow strip of rooftop vents and machinery. The vents seem to be avidly searching out meteors, to no avail at the moment. It also appears to be an outpost on a distant planet. |

Parker-Lake by JulietNNComment: Terrific extended image capturing numerous meteors, their reflections and, as icing, the Milky Way. The orange glow over the hills, also reflected, adds depth of time. Elicits the feeling of a flurry of action amidst eternity.
Is this Parker Lake in Arizona? If so, and even if not, it brings back fond memories of gallivanting across the country in my early twenties, searching out this isolated dot on the map. Still can't believe that I was able to hitchhike to and then out of there. Thank you for that. |

illionby GeorgesBogaertComment: I'm honestly not sure whether I'm looking at the sky or a lovely reconsideration. Please pardon my confusion. In any case, it's a stellar summary of what an idealized version, real or not, looks like -- a multitude of stars, comets, meteors, a galaxy, a nebula and the Star of Bethlehem. Delicate and satisfying. |

Northern Lights by scalvertComment: Even without the meteors this would be an exciting image. Though a lighthouse is for guidance and warning, here it feels more like aspiration, to the stars and beyond. And what a nice set of meteors, kindly disposing themselves for this composition. I'm also charmed by the telephone lines stretching from the mainland (I'm supposing) to this tiny island, which now seems, itself, to be taking its own tentative first step into the beyond.
Personal favorite of the challenge. |

octopusby RKTComment: Disorienting hybrid plant and animal, and surprisingly believable. This is really wild, as if I'm seeing the true nature of onions for the first time. The background surface is just right. I imagine the rest of your bestiary is astounding. |

Somewhere in the universeby bob350Comment: I like the outer space down on the ground option. Very convincing as an outpost on a distant planet. Beautiful and delicate pattern. |
