Visitorby pmichaudComment: Pleasingly cheerful. The bird's colors harmonize nicely with the snowy tree and the blue sky. This is a little gem. |

Fairy Roseby pmichaudComment: The rose is appealingly soft, and I enjoy looking at it as abstract, complex and mysteriously ordered. |

fl-2-36 shootsby ozeradComment: Another terrific result. Your choice in subject is so important, and you're nailing it. We're able to appreciate these flowers anew. The colors are, once again, amazing, and the red-brown anthers especially do it for me. |

_MG_0055by ozeradComment: Wow, a fine result. The spiky center looks like custard that's fighting back. Mesmerizing in its detail. The pink leaves are lovely, and as they fade in clarity towards the bottom they dreamily pillow the image. |

Sunflowerby JuliBocComment: After seeing so many sunflower pictures -- understandably, being beautiful and majestic -- yours is a new favorite. I love the focus on the center, framed in yellow. The colors are wonderfully nuanced. I like the processing, which while obviously a step away from realism is understated and subtle. The turned over petal at about two o'clock is a nice touch, a happy tear. |

prepping.DSCF8503by mariucaComment: I like (hmm, admire artistically) all six of your images but will comment only on this one, my favorite. It's exquisitely devastating. An appealing gloss on the carcass may be all the commentary that's called for. I won't go through all I see. The board's periphery is unnerving as well. The steel tools, so efficient, the vegetables, herbs and condiment to make it scrumptious. We know that predators kill and eat prey, and are often eaten in their turn, but we humans have developed scruples and know there are alternative ways. And yet we have canines, no denying it. |

Mar 05 - Backsideby hajekaComment: Sharp, well-composed city scene. Reminds me of an architectural rendering of an upcoming project. The sky, and the shadows cast, add drama to the day. It looks ordinary, but I don't think this kind of image is easy to pull off. |

Shadowsby GinaRothfelsComment: Really appealing in its simple complexity. It's intriguing how the shadows so very much establish the impact of the image. The empty field on the right is made vibrant by the handle and its shadow, which shadow shimmers with parallel lines like a fingerprint. Handle and shadow become horns, talons, an embrace, etc.. The key, at its jaunty angle, seems to pass right through the door in its ghostly shadow. Well seen. |

little prayer missionby instepsComment: Great red bricks. It's encouraging that when the wall was repainted they again went for red - makes sense, but still... And there's such found beauty in the sign and window. Are they somehow linked? Is it a window of rapture and redemption? At the least it must make one happy to pass by. The composition is quite nice, with the sign and window adroitly off-center and harmonious. |
