What they said. Seen many photos of the Golden Gate Bridge. Beauty and majesty are well represented, whereas this take is besotted with mystery and mood, the dim of night. If they lived in SF, this is the bridge that Sam Spade and Philip Marlowe would cross. Wonderful spiky cables and gleaming patch of the bay. And the grain, a wash of minor tones. Memorable.

True minimalism. I hadn't time (because I frittered it all away) to comment on the many images I really liked, but I was looking forward to commenting on yours. Aside from the lovely colors, composition and line of the curving fence, what stood out for me are the closely spaced lines that add up to a study in texture. As such, we're now seeing an abstract as well as realism, and the two flutter back and forth, as well as mingle, in a most satisfying way. These lines remind me of the striations left behind by over-passing ice sheets and glaciers. So much to see in this fine image.

Yes, here is minimalism. Without the frills and splashes of color that make images exciting, yet then drift from the point. Here's where the excitement is born of concentrated simplicity. So lovely as it is.
