Waterfall Dream.jpgby RasaiComment: The colors have a nice, surreal quality, so it meets the challenge for me. On the other hand, you'd have trouble with the 'digital art' crowd, the composition is busy, and there's no real sharp focus anywhere. I would guess the high 4- low 5 range. |

Snow whiteby AnastasiaComment: I can't believe you came so close to a ribbon, and walked away empty handed yet again. Another outstanding photo from a true master. |

A new breedby RedOakComment: Outstanding surrealism. Sure to be in the top 5, if not a ribbon. I wouldn't be surprised at all if that suit belongs to a Canadian banker. ;-) |

Seeking the Lightby graphicfunkComment: That's a lot of effort to walk away from, but I think you made the right choice. There is absolutely no question that this is surrealism (and probably a 6+ score), but you'd get dinged a bit for the lighting on the green face, and there's something lacking (for me) on the appeal factor- perhaps the stoic expressions. I have no doubt that an entry you'd choose over this would score better because this topic is right up your alley. |

Tuned Inby librodoComment: Browsing through the entries last week, I pointed to this shot and told my wife, "there's Librodo." I don't know how you consistently capture such great portraits, but keep it up! |

Lazy Day Fishingby scalvertComment: FWIW, my score on this shot started at 7.000, then plunged to 4.000 after the first few votes. Ouch! Message edited by author 2005-03-07 10:24:39. |

Zaharaby AranchaComment: Great vista, but a little too evenly divided between the sky and water. I'd probably crop just below the kayak and allow more sky. A polarizer would help your contrast, too (even if you just shot through sunglasses). ¡Buena suerte! ;-) |

Sunriseby HRoxasComment: A little on the dark side, but I think I like this one best out of the three. Judging from these, you should have a strong entry. Good luck! |

Central United Methodistby TooCoolComment: The composition feels tight, and I find myself wandering around rather than being guided. The shadows at bottom are plugged up, but otherwise very nice gray tones and details. |
