Light's Outby dsa157Comment: Another shot missed on the first pass due to my dark monitor as I missed all that smoke floating upward. Wel presented challenge entry, the only thing I would say is when I downloaded it I tried a different crop and removed the hand, that is not a smokers way to hold a cigarette? the smoke then seemed to profile the face.
Anyway, bumped an extra point after the second pass ;) |

Poison Skyby aznymComment: Nice shot and great positioning of the chimneys and smoke. not sure if you did any/much processing of the background but I like the effect anyway. I did a quick desat of this and I think it would look good in b&w. |

Hard Drive Disasterby hughletherenComment: I like the colour in this shot but feel the smoke is a little thin - though you do get the feel of an overworked drive. |

Two To Tangoby digistouneComment: I saw very little detail in this shot at first pass (I know, I have dark monitor problems) so I downloaded it and lightened somewhat in CS. Now I see what I hope was submitted? great capture of smoke, especially the lines.
Bumped 2 points ;) |

Smoked Past the Shortstopby postoakinversionComment: Slightly confused as to how you got the effect? I get the smoking ball but the smoke doesn't give the impression of speed. IMHO if you can remove all the smoke this would be a great shot for a print (challenges don't really mean that much).
*vote watcher?* that last 1 was a bump :) |

Pot Porri sticksby trainComment: I'm still at odds with this, one minute its great as is, the next I want to crop out the blinds and just see the incense sticks and vase. As a smoke challenge entry I think it would be more dramatic without the blinds, and as something you (will) hang on your wall, the blue/green mix is fantastic.
*vote watcher?* the 2 you just got was a bump! |

beautiful but deadlyby redmoonComment: Nasty habit (that I have myself) I like the shot but think the colour of the cigarette burning is a little off. Very nice smoke curl. |

Gravityby phoensoulComment: The gravity effect works well and the smoke is fine though I feel the box could be sharper. |

Smoker Confinedby mrorange002Comment: OK, first pass was a 3! because I honestly didn't see any smoke, nore did I have any idea what this was.
I'm a smoker but not a fan of portraying the dirty habit. (in a sober mood and after downloading and brightening) I understand it, great shot but still looks a little pixelated on my pc. |

Air Playby amsmythComment: Right place, right time. Great shot but (for me) a little too much noise intenional or not, and I think it would look (far) better if the planes were nearer the left of the frame. |
