Paradise Bakeryby AliciaComment: Great Candid Alicia, I must learn to shoot first and be asked questions later! Agree with the other commenters you should present this guy with a print and make a big thing of it - the bakery may get some business and you some extra work :)
Excellent composition and whilst I do like the post processing I'd quite like to see a straight desat as well (in a manly voice/keystroke) I reckon he has a great bone structure?

KS22308-622FW.jpgby nomad469Comment: Love the composition and lighting but just feel I'd like to see the hands tack sharp as well as her face. No exif info or photog comments so its difficult to understand what was obviously harsh lighting conditions. |

KS22308-613FW.jpgby nomad469Comment: Thanks for the extra info in the comments Dave, before I read what he was doing I thought he was sat in a bar and had just watched someone put ice in his single malt!
Love the conversion to B&W (also liked the colour version but not as much) and whilst its a crisp image with good dof would have preferred his face/hair to be sharper and really pop. |

As We Wereby GermaineComment: love it! my memory is fading but it looks like an MGB GT? with chrome overriders and wire wheels - heaven :) Just a pity there was a 'modern' car in the shot, this could have been from the 60's!
Is this the same street as the evening cyclist? and thanks for taking me back to my MGB owning daydream :)
btw, really like the photo lol. |

fadingby MephistoComment: ooh, what a find! this place could provide the rest of the years images for you! This is a great shot showing great skill with the lighting and composition. My dark monitor probably makes this more spooky but there is still great detail in the shadows. Take us down that long corridor next week please :) |

Contortby smithmaComment: Hi Michael and yes, post at will and, if you want you can play catch up (we all missed the first 3 weeks of the year anyway).
I think the comments on the centre issue are because its so close to being centred already? I don't know how much room you have got but maybe if you left more black you could play with composition post shot? Brave man posting this ;) and sadly my attempt was in a challenge so its there for ever! A couple of niggles on a good shot, the lint? in front of you can be cleaned up easily, I'd like to see your right shoulder lined up with your left and maybe a little more light (looks like you have the important bits covered lol).
Just seen your other sp's, thought of changing your username to rubberman ;) |

lol, is that Soni making a joke? looks like a bench wig to me? I thought the courts had stopped wearing them this year and just wore them during ceremonial times (though may be wrong). Anyway, I digress...
I do like the composition and think this works well in B&W though I'm not overly fond of the overlays but in the minority with that thought.

Week 8 - Coal Trainby wickee_oneComment: It may be my eyes after a long day at work but this looks a little soft (may be your post processing?) Think I agree with Deb about preferring the colour version and actually think its a neat idea to submit the same shot in 2 side challenges - not cheating at all : |

erm, when have you seen two identical skies Tom? Am pretty sure you could plonk your tripod in the exact same spot for 52 weeks and present us with 52 different images :) Not the most interesting of skies but still plenty to look at :) |

LLOuttake2.jpgby salmiakkiComment: Hi Sarah, sadly I have to agree with the other that this is better than you leading lines entry but, glad you saved your best shot for us ;)
love the composition and with that big glass rook you held the exposure very well. B&W works well here. Looking at where the walls join this might be a tiny little bit tilted? Very nice :) |
