Nice idea, but If you had flames in the background, even if just a bit, maybe burn down a toothpick cabin it would have really added to this and pushed the score higher.

for me, I don't see concentration, all I see is some guy in a car. I am wondering if this is a crop and there is a much larger version?

I enjoy the idea/concept here, however for me the elements that distract include:
Over smoothing,
Missing tip of the knife
Unrealistic blood
blown out whites
For some reason the blood looks like it is in globs, for me it doesn't look like a splatter, but maybe something that was added in post. The tip of the knife is what makes a good knife. If your idea was to have it in the picture, I would suggest making deep gashes in the picture, as it is now, the tip is missing.
I think images like these, darker, scream to be gritty, grudgey, dark, the smoothness just really makes everything seem flat and staged.

For some reason it just doesn't seem clean enough. Maybe the spider being center frame and small just distracts and makes him blend in to much. No real emotional value for me.

First look at this I thought it was purple cabbage. Than I read the title and looked a bit closer and figured out its a rose or something. Its a nice image overall but doesn't really stir any emotions for me.

I understand this image, and first off I think a larger contrast and grit would really create more emotion. Also, the pills look too neat, I think they would be scattered more, not a lot but a bit more as someone dumping the pills out and not caring where they went, just getting them out.

Like a Degas

I have no idea what a Degas is, and I would think the emotional value of this is very narrow, meaning only a small group of people would understand. I also think the image is a bit dark and would have liked to see more sharpness of the models.

This is nice, I really enjoy the model himself. It might have been fun to have his big toes crossed as well. What I don't care is for the walls and floor, they just don't seem to go with the model. Maybe that was the point, but they distract me a bit.

Off the bat the colours are a bit flat for me, it also has a strange feel as if over sharpened. I am trying to dig deep to get me an emotional feel... however it just isn't strong enough for me.

Extremely Painful Fall

Don't know how 'extremely' painful it was, however it just doesn't give me a strong sense of emotion. The colours are extremely flat however.
