Tough shot since the foil hates USM and the chocolate needs it so much! A few more light sources would have helped. Strong graphic concept.

Im going to hazard a guess that most of your comments will read "too small". Something near 640 pixels on one side is essential to getting a shot judged fairly, and from what I can see this shot would have done very well. Good colors, comopsiton, decent if somewhat harsh lighting, But a multitude of sins can be hidden by keeping a shot this small, and you get credit for those sins, since I can't see if they are there or not. Not fair perhaps, but it is reality.

Great DOF on this one, nice colors, but I tend to see M&Ms as candy on the outside, hence I see no brownish milk and sugar goodness in the frame. The chocolate part is too little of the frame and hiddden so only those who know M&M's (which I grant you is 99% of the online world) know where the chocolate is. My other beef is that too much sleeve is showing, if you crop it out and just have hamd. mountains & candy, the candy jumps out alot more! Anyway two small quibbles in a lovely shot.

the idea is fine but you need better focal controll and you MUST get that date off your exposure! colors and lighting look fine. good composition.

The face dimly lit in the backround takes this shot from good/compotent to top flight. The only knock is that the hand is a bit too hot for something that close to the edge of the frame.

Fragile Balance

This was an idea that I'm sure alot of people thought of, and when they saw this shot they either regretted using the idea or were glad they used another. Strong lighting, I like the level of detail in the setup with the different face cards on different levels, the framing was well done with the bottom being squeezed but a bit of room at the top. The use of a triangular void in the upper right used to balance out the triangular figure is a nice touch. I usually like to point out one flaw when giving praise, but I can find none.

Prefect framaing was needed to pull off this shot and you nailed it. Strong conversion, and rich details. The title is one of the best this week.

Could have done equally well in the Freedom challenge. Gereat lighting, fine use of subtle colors and an eggcentric but well balanced composition. not wild about the border, but that is a personal taste issue. Should be near ribbon land.
