The wires hurt the composition, but with teh editing rules, this is probably teh best you could do. Good eye for the shot and contrast.

This is just too small. I found that I wanted to give higher scores on each dimenstion, but relative to to the other entries, there wasn't enough to judge. I think larger, it would have scored quite well.

Sharper focus would improve most aspects of this shot, because the colors are pretty good, the title is interesting, and the spring gives the eye somewhere to rest.

More light and a tighter crop on the right side would have changed this score a lot. The idea and subject are pretty good, but the pole and darkness of the shot bury some of a good idea.

The trash can in the very center of a small image makes this tough to appreciate the effort.

Images in the absolute center of an image are tough. One thing to try here is a different perspective, perhaps get low in the front and shoot up at the image?

Just happened upon this again.

I would have preferred fewer books. I was a double EE as well, and could fit everything I needed for a day in a backpack. (Also, they made me take Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Diff EQ sequentially, not simultaneously. Must be why you were so much better at math than me ;) )
