Jeremy-9851-Editby jbsmithanaComment: Except for people of the Victorian era being uptight about even showing a nude baby, this certainly fits the bill. Love the grain. :) |

Super Moon 2by cginoComment: I think I like the up close/larger one more. Not sure why. Maybe cause it makes the robot look overpowering. :) |

Seagullby sjhulsComment: I like the black of the border mimicking the black of his wing. The starkness of the black is kind of unexpected. I like it. :) |

Sage Brushby sjhulsComment: I love the DOF with that blurry soft background. With some of the grasses in and out of focus, it has a sense of movement in an otherwise steadfast image. Love the textures of the tree. You wouldn't have noticed them as well had it stayed in color. I think BW is totally under appreciated. |

Drooping Flowers by chromeydomeComment: I'll never forget the time my mom saw a photo I'd done of tulips where one was saturated pink, and the rest of it was black and white. She said "why would you ever want to make flowers black?" My sister and I roll our eyes at that story. I adore flowers done in a duotone like this. You are so much more aware of the textural and tonal nuances, that you completely miss in color. Plus it adds to that melancholy mood of the droop. NICE ONE. |
